Apparently it’s not socially acceptable for a man to invite another man out just for coffee or to go out for a meal, in case it’s perceived as a date. Like it’s fine if you wanna go to the pub and drink beer and have a chat but make it non-alcoholic and suddenly you’re not straight anymore? You can go to the cinema together but ONLY if it’s an action movie. You guys can’t even just go shopping with each other. Oh masculinity, so fragile, so strange.
“The Buddhists say if you meet somebody and your heart pounds, your hands shake, your knees go weak, that’s not the one. When you meet your ‘soul mate’ you’ll feel calm. No anxiety, no agitation”—(via princessofnana)
Had a really fun night with everyone tonight but it doesn’t half make me sad inviting couples over just so I get to see more of my friends. I obviously like Beth and Jugal, and Abbie and Alex, but getting asked where Matt is is so not helpful to my situation, he’s obviously not here, stop asking. Long distance is lame, long distance is lamer when most of the friends you see regularly are in relationships with people in the same place. Thank god there’s the sassy queens that are Sam and Hollie to make me forget all about that.
Most Haunted is too funny right now. Someone called Fred Batt’s legit career is ‘demonologist’ and Bullet for my Valentine are on it and me and Matt keep saying “Matt Tuck is wearing a scarf, that’s not very metal!” and there are no ghosts as per but Yvette is gonna lose her shit later I can feel it.
“Where is the Scarlett Johansson superhero movie? I don’t understand it, why is it taking so long for this? This woman clearly shows that people want to go see her in the movies. ‘Lucy,’ didn’t it beat ‘Hercules’ by a lot opening weekend, when it was made for a lot less? She shows that she kicks ass, she’s a great actress. ‘Under the Skin’ is an incredible film, and why are we still waiting for a go-ahead on a superhero movie starring Scarlett Johansson?
To me, it’s a no-brainer. You want to make money, put Scarlett Johansson in a superhero movie!”—Jessica Chastain about the lack of a Black Widow movie (x)
